Yurt CMS 0.3.1 Released!

I’m starting to wrap up a project for a client that uses the Yurt CMS, and so I’ve had to focus on adding some extra polish to the web based UI. I also found and fixed a couple of bugs, so you will want to update.

In this package, I have:

WebUI enhancements mostly in the form of help files, but I’ve also added a spinner for tasks that are in progress. I’m aware of the odd rendering in MSIE 6.0, and I’m hoping to take care of that soon.
fixed bug where the creation of a partial would create a placholder file. The placeholder file would be located outside of the /includes/ directory, and it doesn’t make sense to have it, so I ensured that it doesn’t get generated.
fixed problems with deleting partials
fixed problems with adding a new file within a subdirectory. Boy, I can’t believe no one alerted me to this one. But I bet you’re happy it’s fixed!

So, what are you waiting for? Go download it by running sudo gem install YurtCMS or sudo gem update, then run yurt update to update your current installation.

Next up:

Now that I’m getting clued in to how an Apache + Mongrel setup works, I’m going to make this CMS ‘self hosting’ so that you can:

run camping yurt to launch this – no more Apache config files for the CMS!
run ruby yurtcms.rb to turn it into a Mongrel-powered server workdog! (You know, it doesn’t quite have the same ring as workhorse, does it -Ed)
